Beldex Bridge Closure: Final Call to Convert wBDX to BDX

Dear Beldians,

We’re announcing the permanent closure of the Beldex Bridge, which previously allowed conversions between BDX (native Beldex coins) and wBDX (wrapped BDX on the Binance Smart Chain). This closure is effective from June 30, 2025.

Why We’re Closing the Beldex-BSC Bridge

The Beldex Bridge was initially launched to facilitate interoperability between Beldex and the Binance Smart Chain, with vision to expand it to other blockchain networks. However, after re-evaluating our long-term roadmap and priorities, we’ve decided to cease the operation of the Beldex bridge as part of a broader effort to shift the focus towards the research and development of the Beldex ecosystem.

• Ecosystem Focus: As Beldex grows into a multi-faceted Layer-1 blockchain with research and development of the sidechain, BeldexAI and scaling technologies in focus, we’re shifting our efforts toward strengthening our native infrastructure. Tools such as BeldexAI and even the Beldex core protocols demand extensive resources. So rather than maintaining interoperability layers with other networks that no longer fit our current objective of expanding our confidentiality-first ecosystem, we’re redirecting all our time, energy, and efforts to Beldex.
• Clarity and Consistency: The continued presence of wBDX has led to identity mismatches with third-party data providers and other platforms. For example, some tend to misclassify Beldex (BDX) as a BSC-based token. However, Beldex has been an independent blockchain right from the get go. So retiring the bridge helps reinforce Beldex’s true positioning as a sovereign, self-sufficient, Layer-1 network.

As we evolve, it becomes increasingly important to maintain clear boundaries between the Beldex ecosystem and other ecosystems. This also ensures that the perspectives of our team, users, and our partners are aligned.

What This Means for wBDX Holders

If you’re holding wBDX, this is your final opportunity to convert it back to BDX.

Action Required:

1. Visit the official Beldex Bridge: https://bridge.beldex.io
2. Connect your wallet (MetaMask or Binance Wallet) holding wBDX.
3. Enter your BDX wallet address to receive native BDX.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the swap.

⚠️ Deadline: June 30, 2025
After this date, the bridge infrastructure will be retired permanently, and conversions will no longer be supported.
